2017 was an eventful year for me emotionally, physically and mentally. I faced so many challenges and overcame all of them like I never thought I would. When I look back at where I was and were I am now I can proudly say that THE PEACE I HAVE NOW WAS WORTH EVERYTHING I LOST LAST YEAR and I will remain forever grateful to God for all he has continuously done in my life. I am still a work in progress and remain grateful to the friends and family that stood with me at all times. With that being said, I am not perfect and I am not here to give anyone advice on how they should live their lives.
The last time I experienced this type of turbulence in my life was when I lost my dad and that’s not being brought up for me to be pitied because that won’t be accepted over here. All this goes to say that many of us go through different issues and challenges and we are shaped by how we respond to all of them. I went through a few and continue to grow into the woman I have always wanted to be. Growth moves us in ways that we may not enjoy in the moment but it all gets better in the end. We can bring all challenges up and discuss them but you know what Sis? These challenges shape us to be the best that we can be and God doesn’t care were you have been when he is ready to use YOU!! Sit back and enjoy the ride…
We are all gracefully broken, and we won’t be given tasks we cannot handle. Be kind to all because you don’t know what personal battles everyone else is fighting.
Take it easy on me with this being my first post. I will share my interests with you all which will mostly be about food and travel , and share what helped me get through tough times. The title of this post and the name of this blog says it all. Are we going to Settle or evolve together?
I would like to share this journey with you all, walk in my truth and use this as a positive outlet to discuss so many issues that are ignored today. As we all decide to love ourselves a little more and EVOLVE, lets have fun and share this experience together.
First love yourself others will come next
